After 12 hours of traveling I am finally in my hotel in Amsterdam. Not sure I am even going to leave.. this is one fun hotel! LOL The bed is heavenly and I may just lie here and read until my flight tomorrow.
We left Tutova at 6:30am this morning.. caught the 7:17 train in Barlad... arrived at 11:51 in Bucharest.. took a wild - around the city -- back road -- shortcut to the airport (I think Trent was less worried than me that the driver was taking us to some crazy place). Finally arrived at Otopeni Airport around 12:30ish.... Trent and I chatted until it was time for me to check-in. (At Otopeni you cannot check your bags until about an hour and a half before your flight.) Stood in line FOREVER to check-in... went through security with no problem... then stood in line in a hot hallway FOREVER waiting to clear customs... After Trent was able to check in and made it to the gates we sat and chatted again until it was finally time for me to board. Very nice flight on KLM airline.. took about 2 hours and 45 minutes to get to Amsterdam.. walked around the airport for a while looking for Citizen M signs... (that is the name of the hotel Citizen M).. no signs, asked 2 different airport workers (a bathroom cleaning lady and a salesclerk) neither of them had even HEARD of Citizen M! Got a tad bit worried.. went to an info desk and a kind young man told me IMMEDIATELY how to get to Citizen M... Walked forever to customs.. 2 guys looking quite bored one of them sang It's A Wonderful World for me and told me that Citizen M had free wi-fi, free phones, and free guys LOL... no guys for this gal!!
Finally at 6:30pm Romanian time... but 5:30 pm Amsterdam time I am in the hotel room and have literally crashed on the bed...
Pictures and updates will have to wait until later or maybe til I get home LOL

That picture of Ema smiling practically brings tears to my eyes. What a difference in how she is doing. Your blog and pix have been wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing all of your experiences. When you are home and have a chance to settle in let me know what you think they need the most when I go in Oct. Although I can also take money and get stuff while there.
