We are leaving basically straight from the clinic this afternoon to head to Iasi for a weekend trip. I hadn't really planned to go anywhere but at the same time feel like it is important for me to see more of the area and get a feel for the culture... so the entire group is off to Iasi - except Laura who was only here for a one week stay and has to head back to Bucharest tomorrow morning. (We will miss you Laura!!)
I really wanted to go to Transylvania since everyone is so into the Twilight stories back home. I thought Em would love having pictures of "Dracula's" castle... but this weekend was a HUGE holiday for the Romanians and no hotels were available near the castle... not sure if I will go with the younger girls next weekend or not... I really would like to go to the clinic... maybe I'll just extend my stay for a week or 2 :-) Someone could just fly Em over for me!! LOL
Homeschooling in Romania may be an option for next school year!!!! ;-)
Not sure if I will have internet access so the pictures from Day 4 & 5 may not go up until Sunday night or Monday night at the latest. I am sure some of you are wondering why I am blogging so much and not enjoying the wonderful city of Barlad:
Number 1: It is almost dark when we arrive back from the clinic each day.
Number 2: The wind is colder than poopie.
Number 3: It is exhausting work taking care of 8 babies all day long LOL Seriously I think it is emotionally draining as well as physically draining... We are trying to pour so much love into these babies in such a short time and all trying not think about having to leave them and having little or no updates. So partly my blogging is for formal volunteers as well... I hope everyone is able to find my blog and check up on their sweet babies! I did make sure to get pictures of all the mobile babies (whom I do not work with each day, therefore hard to get pictures LOL) but have not had a chance to post them.
Now I have to go re-read my message of the day to share with the group! LOL Breakfast is in 14 minutes and I don't have it memorized!! LOL
Love you all! Will try to post from Iasi if I have access!
