Day 4 Tutova Clinic - Isolation Room

Right now there are 2 babies in the Isolation Room... when babies come to the clinic they spend 2 -3 weeks in the Isolation Room in order to be evaluated for illness, etc. before joining the other babies. First is baby Gina-Mihaela (sp?). She has multiple birth defects...her arms are both stubs, 1 of her legs is a stub, and her other leg juts out from her body at a 90 degree angle. :-( Bless her heart. Rosie and I went into the Isolation Room just so the babies could be touched first thing Thursday morning. (You must were gloves and a mask before entering the Isolation Room.) Suddenly an aide appeared with 2 bottles and we were feeding these sweet babies... I'm not sure how old Gina-Mihaela is... but I doubt she will be out of the Isolation Room any time soon due to her numerous problems. :-( Say a special prayer for this little angel!
The second baby is sweet Madalin... he is a little boy. (A bit of trivia for you: Romanian girl names typically end with the letter a and all other names are male.) Madalin is 6 weeks old. He too has some physical deformities... apparently his rectum is outside his body so he must not have any pressure placed on his bottom... he spends his days lying on his side when not being held.

It has been a long time since I have held a baby this little! He fit perfectly in my arms! :-)
