Sucevita was the last monastery we visited and I think my favorite. It may have just been the time of day we were visiting but it was beautiful!

This wall was never painted because the 2 brothers who painted the Ladder of Virtues fell off a ladder and died!!

Inside the church one could buy candles to light for the living or the dead... outside there were these 2 fires the one on the right "morti" for the dead.. the one on the left "vii"for the living

LOL as we were walking back to the van this box caught my eye in a trash can... Hell is apparently a energy drink but the paradox of finding it in a monastery trash can was too good to pass up!
