The Tutova Hospital has an awesome machine ($20,000) that reads blood or something or other (it is late and I'm grumpy but you'll have to wait until I post Day 18 to find out why because I don't really want to talk about it! LOL)
ANYWAY.. these are apparently the strips that the machine uses and they are out... and cannot locate them in Romania! So Dr. Delia (the director of the hospital and failure to thrive clinic) asked us if we could get some for the hospital. (They also need thermometer covers for 2 different types of thermometers but again I just took a picture of the thermometers today -day 18-and I'm not getting ahead of myself!!)
So if you are coming to Tutova in the near future and are looking for something to bring that is a NEEDED item this would be good! :-)
Items we purchased here in Barlad... DVDs in Romanian -- we would all like for the children to be hearing more of their native language and thought this would be good for when no volunteers were present, a couple of books in Romanian, and building blocks for the mobile babies (above)
Loads of shampoo, q-tips, and more nipples (below... items requested by the head nurse, Mrs. Mihaela) We were also able to order 40 more nipples to be delivered to the pharmacy for pick up next week.
