Elizabeth, Evan, and I stayed in Barlad this weekend to rest and shop for some items the clinic requested. The younger girls took off for Bucharest to explore the city and museums.
A museum/gallery of a famous sculptor... I can't read his name and haven't researched it yet! We didn't go in but I took pictures of his outdoor sculptures. As I was snapping shots a teenage boy approached Elizabeth and Evan for money. They both told him no -- we were all shocked when he reached out and touched Evan's arm. You feel so badly for them and even though we could spare the money it is never enough :-(
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was one of my FAVORITE movies and books as a child. I'm not exactly sure of their significance here but they surround this tree which is in the middle of the street right outside the City Hall .
Elizabeth noticed the headline on this toy while Evan and I were still inside a shop.. We all agreed that it sounded very much like Japanese English :-)
This gentleman unfortunately had car trouble with a casket on top of his car?? Actually we aren't sure what that is on top of his car but it was a photo we couldn't pass up! Thank goodness for super zoom lenses so you can take pictures without anyone knowing!
